Should I send it right after? Or should I wait 5- x amount of hours?

From my own experience - sending it right after works the best.
If you wait for a couple of hours, you have less and fewer chances to convince your customer to purchase.
I have mine set up for 3.........
#1 5 mins
#2 12 hours
#3 24 hours
From what I have seen most purchase from the first one that is sent out.
are you using shopify's email system?
I recommend ghostmonitor. I used them for a while and I made about 300$ from returning customers.
It is a simple plugin, you just install it and sign up on their web-site. They will take care of sending emails and shows you the statistics.
aster is this better than Mailchimp? or are they all about the same. I need one to collect emails to build a list.. I've only had a few so far that have abandoned there cart.
How do you send emails to people who abandoned your cart when you don't have their email? When a new customer visit your site you are not going to have their email address.
I use Abandonment Protector from Chili Apps. They get sent out auto and so far I see about a 5% recovery rate.
I downloaded Soundest today for my email capture and sign ups..... Pretty easy to use and has tons of options.... My question is do you guys have it enabled on Mobil devices? There was alert when designing mine that if this option is enabled it may inner fear with Google search
