I don’t think anyone expects Oberlo to walk back this decision, but I am curious about how much input you received from verified suppliers and customers when this was being discussed. For me, the products Oberlo suppliers offered were the perfect mix of cost, shipping speed, quality, and originality. I hadn’t launched my store, but was preparing to sometime within the next week. Of the 40+ products I had carefully curated only 6 were from AliExpress. Though I’ve done a lot of searching on their site, I haven’t been able to find merchants selling similar items, and very few are able to provide.comparable shipping timelines.
This was obviously a business decision, but I wish there had been room for more discussion about what wasn’t working, and how we, as Oberlo customers, could have made the program more successful. I would have been perfectly happy to pay a special fee to have access to Oberlo suppliers (maybe something a step about the free plan).
I am not sure what I’ll do now, but wanted to add my two cents since you decided to pop in. Any additional context you can provide for this decision would be great.
