Over the past 2-3 weeks I started a store that's been doing extremely well. Initially, I felt joy and a sense of security, owning a dropshipping store that was pulling 9-12K revenue a day and 350-400 orders.
Then slowly it all began to unravel.
Week 1 we were getting about 100-150 orders a day and had no issues getting them fulfilled and shipped. Naturally, this made me feel more ambitious and I decided to dial up the promo assuming I could handle a larger order volume. This is when the orders started closing.
Our first bank was SIMPLE bank (simple.com) when we realized about orders randomly closing. We figured AliExpress' risk team was not familiar with the bank and this was the reason. We closed the account and cashed out.
The next bank we used was Bank of America. We got an LLC set up and started two separate Mastercard business checking accounts and verified the cards in Ali Pay before ordering. By this point, the delay from having to switch banks caused us to fall behind on orders. I stayed up for almost 2 days doing orders and had done easily over 1,000. I lost count.
I was closing in on the last few pages in Oberlo, and I get a text from my business partner saying "OH my GOD MAN Its HAPPENING AGAIN."
In horror, I watch over 60 pages of orders close one after another and I appealed on Ali.
I had a business backed bank account with all my ID, EIN, documentation, and paperwork on file and everything set up exactly how I had always done it, yet I still had all my orders closed.
By this point, I realize that this is a much more serious issue than I originally anticipated. I text all the promoters who drive traffic to my store and let them know I won't be booking until I figure out what's going on.
I remember I still had a Wells Fargo debit card I used to use for orders for an old store that had never closed orders or been appealed so I re-did every single order with it with money we wired from the new business account.
None of the orders close this time, but the next day we go to wire more money for orders from the new bank where our Shopify payouts were being deposited, and realize that Bank of America has closed our account after literally less than 2 days without any warning. My business partner goes to the bank for an explanation and they tell us they aren't required to give us one.
This all happened yesterday. I did more orders last night on my Wells Fargo card. I wake up today and I am seeing orders close again now and don't know what to do. This was the only card that was working properly and now I can no longer depend on it either.
Every day I do not promote my store, I'm missing out on thousands of dollars worth of profit and it's killing my momentum. We've even had to put the Instagram on private temporarily because so many people are upset. My support staff are dealing with hundreds of emails pouring in wondering why we haven't shipped our orders and some people are even calling me a scammer and telling other potential customers not to order.
I normally try to figure out these sort of mishaps on my own, but now it's getting to the point where I'm being forced to helplessly watch as my store is ruined no matter how hard I seem to work or no matter how many different things I try to fix this.
If someone could please help me figure out what is going on with this I would be so so so grateful. I have had horrible anxiety all week over this and I'm very scared my business will fail if I do not figure out a solution or address the cause of this problem.
