Are the Products Sent Automatically by Oberlo?
This can generally be something that isn’t immediately clear if you aren’t entirely sure what role Oberlo plays in the order process. Fear not! I will shed some light on this question specifically.
Oberlo is not entirely automatic. When a customer places an order in your Online Store, you now have to go to Apps > Oberlo from your Shopify admin to order the products from the supplier. Basically, you have to pay the supplier for the products and the shipping. After you pay the supplier, some of the process becomes automated, but it’s not automatic the whole way through.
Oberlo allows you to source products from either Oberlo Supply or AliExpress, depending on where the products are from, the order fulfillment process looks slightly different. Regardless of where the products are sourced from the general principle remains the same; You must pay the supplier for the products the customer ordered and for shipping.
Since your customers have paid you more than what you are paying the supplier, that’s how you earn a profit. Your prices are controlled by your price markup in your Global Pricing Rules. If you want to read more about setting this up you can do so in Oberlo’s Global Pricing Rules guide here.
