How to Order Products from AliExpress
As you were introduced in my previous article on how to order Oberlo Supply products, we will now talk about how to order AliExpress products in detail.
Similar to ordering products from Oberlo Supply, what we’re essentially talking about when we’re ordering products is paying the supplier for the product and shipping. This process isn’t completely automatic and will require the manual input of some information in the ordering process.
Ordering the AliExpress Products
If your order contains products sourced from AliExpress, the fulfillment process can be taken care of by using Oberlo and AliExpress in conjunction with one another.
You will need the Google Chrome internet browser and the Oberlo Chrome extension to fulfill AliExpress orders. You can get these here and here. You will also need an AliExpress account. If you don’t have one, you can create one for free right here.
Now onto ordering the products! Just follow the steps below!
Step 1 - Go to your Orders in Oberlo:
Step 2 - In your Google Chrome internet browser open a new tab and login to your AliExpress account:
Step 3 - In the browser tab that you have Oberlo open in, click the orange “Order Products” button:
Step 4 - You now will be taken to AliExpress and the Oberlo Chrome extension will automatically add the product to your cart and fill in the customer’s information.
Here is a video demonstrating this entire process up until the payment step.
As shown in the video, you may need to add your phone number to proceed. This should be your phone number or a fake one rather than the customer’s so the supplier or mail carrier isn’t contacting the customer directly.
Step 5 - Add your credit card details to pay for the order and click “Confirm & Pay”:
As shown above, you can choose to save the card for future orders if you want.
How to know when the AliExpress Order has Shipped
Now that you have placed the order with the supplier, it’s now being processed by them and soon will be shipped. In the AliExpress Orders section, the tracking number generally takes 3-7 days to appear. The status of the order will change from "Payment being verified" > "Awaiting delivery".
This will mean that the order has been shipped.
Syncing the Tracking number on AliExpress with Oberlo
Great work! Just one more step! Although the order has now been shipped, it’s ideal to be able to keep track of the shipping in Oberlo directly. We also need to tie AliExpress and Oberlo together so the order statuses update on their own.
There are several ways to make the shipment tracking on AliExpress synced with Oberlo. Keep in mind that you can only sync the two if the tracking number is available meaning the order has shipped which can take 3-7 days.
I will go through each of the methods below:
Option 1 - Sync the order by using the “Get Tracking Code” button in Oberlo:
Option 2 - Sync the order by using the “Sync this page”, “Sync all orders”, or “Send details” buttons:
Option 3 - Sync the orders by manually getting the tracking number from AliExpress and pasting it in Oberlo:
Highlight and copy the tracking number from the area shown below:
Go to Oberlo and click the “Mark as Shipped” button:
In the pop-up that appears, paste the tracking number and click the “Mark as shipped” button:
After syncing the order by following one of the 3 options shown above, the order status will update accordingly to reflect the shipping status on AliExpress.
