Great to hear you asked support and they confirmed it was not needed. They most likely did not reply with an update about your product as it has already been shipped and is now out of their hands.
Once they ship it the tracking code will become active in about 5 days. You can track your order on 17track.
I'm sorry about the shipping option, that is annoying! In the past if this has happened to me I reached back out to Ali support and send them a screenshot of what I paid for and then the shipping the supplier used. I would investigate if I were you, them stating they're simply "the same" does not mean they are!
