And here it is: Customer Notifications......?
There are templates in Shopify for order confirmations, shipping confirmations etc. to change them, you clearly need to know how to write code. I'm going to look at the 'Notification variables' article as my current templates at the bottom include my personal email address which I would like to change to my shop address. Side question to this: Forwarding addresses, clearly forward the clients email to my actual address. If I now reply, will this show my actual address? If yes, is there a way to get a free custom-domain-email address somewhere? I saw that I can pay for them on gmail, I think.
Then, there is also a notifications setting in Oberlo. I have ticked the 'notify customers...' and also changed the 'reply-to' email address to my store's forwarding address - I assume an 'order@..' address will suffice for all notifications that are sent automatically?!
Does this whole set up mean, Oberlo sends a command to Shopify which then sends those emails that are set up under Shopify's 'Notifications'? Would it be beneficial to set up mailchimp and connect it to my store instead?
Another question is: when I did my test order to order my samples, at the bottom it said "Tracking Information (optional)' and a space to type something into. Do I make up my own tracking code? This should be a standard automatic setting, shouldn't it? Considering that in dropshipping we kind of rely on our products being shipped which can be easily tracked if tracking was not optional?! Also, customers probably expect tracking to be included. Just not sure how exactly I set off getting a tracking code.
So many questions, sorry. I just can't seem to find the answers anywhere...
