Ok, I think we can close this topic with a caveat. (I think) . (I also sent another e-mail to support regarding this feature request).
We've had two products get dropped by their suppliers in the last couple of days. Oberlo did what it should - hid the products from the storefront and notified me that they were unavialable.
Here's what I suspect played out with the products that were broken:
- the Oberlo feature was not enabled at the time of the supplier dropping the product
- does the feature scan the entire product database when you enable it? Or does it solely act on changes to product status once enabled? (ie, if the product was already unavailable at time of enabling, we don't alert/hide).
- I believe this is the default behavior - once a product is flagged, it's never communicated again. This is where I think you should make a change. The last thing we want is customers being able to order products that are unvailable. Me, I'd like the capability of setting the polling interval for Oberlo to verify the integrity of the products in the store and alert accordingly. A routine audit of product status.
